Professional Golf and Wine

A lot of professional golfers know about wine, but there are a few that are directly involved in the wine-making business. Some have their own vineyards and some have had vineyards make a private-label wine for them. This is becoming very common with golfing pro's and those that have their own label are pretty good at what they do. And since a lot of golfers are into wine I thought it would be fun to do a post about it and try to get people into wine making and maybe even wine tasting for beginners.

Golfers With Their Own Wine Labels
It's amazing how many golfers have their own wine labels but it is equally amazing the variety of wines that they produce. Here is a list of wines that are offered by professional golfers from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and the Champions Tour:

Chardonnay
Cabernet Sauvignon
Bourdeaux Blends
Claret-style Red Wine Blends
Merlot
Malbec
Cabernet Franc
Petit Verdot
Shiraz
Sauvignon Blancs
Par Excellence
Private Reserve Cabernet
Pinot Noir
Black Knight Wine
Annika Vineyards Syrah

These are just a few of the labels available from various golfers and their vineyards. The golfers that currently have wines include: John Daly, Mike Weir, Luke Donald, Annika Sorenstam, Ernie Els, Gary Player, Nick Faldo, Arnold Palmer, David Frost, Greg Norman, and Jack Nicklaus. And I'm sure this number will increase as more and more golfers jump on the wine making band-wagon.
